Bhubaneswar Golf Club (BGC) to organise the 6th Nalco East Zone Golf Tournament at Infocity Course, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.
Host: Bhubaneswar Golf Club.
Description: Around 100 golfers, representing 11 clubs of West Bengal, Jamshedpur, Bihar and Orissa expected to participate in the biggest tournament of the sport in the state.
Leading clubs include Royal Calcutta Golf Club, Tollygunge Golf Club (both Kolkata), Golmuri Club, Beldhi Club (both Jamshedpur), Paradip Port Trust, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (Sambalpur) and BGC.
Seniors and ladies will be vying for honours on the opening day, while the tussle for main categories will be conducted next day. The tournament will conclude with the team event on January 26.
Last year, Nitin Khosla of Golmuri Club emerged champion, while S N Mahto (Cockarel Golf Club, Ranchi) bagged the best gross trophy.
