*   As many as 36 member units Hockey India have confirmed their participation in the 10-day long Championship, which will be played on a league cum knockout basis.
*   Odisha have been placed in Pool G with Tamil Nadu, Kerala and West Bengal.
*   Odisha are scheduled to play their three pool matches on Sept 23 (vs Tamil Nadu), Sept 24 (vs Kerala) and Sept 25 (vs West Bengal).
*   The eight pool toppers will qualify for quarterfinals.
*   HI selectors and government observer will keep a watch at the players performance to select the probables for the next national coaching camp ahead of the Champions Trophy in Melbourne from December 1 and the 2nd Asian Champions Trophy in Doha, Qatar from December 14.
*   An 18-member Odisha team led by Stanli Victor Minz left Rourkela on Sept 20 to participate in the Championship.
*   The team, comprising three internationals, was selected from a trial-cum-coaching camp, conducted by Hockey Odisha at Panposh Sports Hostel ground, Rourkela from September 5 to 19.
*   Altogether 48 probables joined the camp, which was supervised by coach Sri Bijoy Lakara.
