DESCRIPTION:
* This tournament is part of a new 2026 format featuring four regional stages (Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe).
* The champion team of the Asian stage will qualify directly for the WSTC Global Final to be held in December 2026.
* The four continental champions will compete for the world title.
* Four tribal girl students from the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Bhubaneswar have been selected to represent India in the U-14 Womens category, earning a wildcard entry following the FIDE Global Conference on Social and Educational Chess at KIIT.
* The four KISS players are: Mohini Naik, Monalisha Bhoi, Shreeya Nayak and Humeswari Malli.
* Gourahari Mohapatra has been appointed as coach of the KISS team.
* KIIT University Joint Director (Sports), Rashmita Mohanty, has been named as the head of delegation.
