DESCRIPTION:
*     A 13-member Indian squad, including seven from Odisha, has been announced for this championship.
*     The seven Odisha competitors are: V Ramesh Rao, Rakhal Kumar Sethy, Pabitra Sahu, Rudra Narayan Behera, Om Prakash Behera (all male); Pujaswini Nayak and Malti Panaure (both female).
*     The Department of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Odisha organized coaching camp for the competitors at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar from 23 July to 26 August 2025 with Baldeep Sahota as the coach.
*     The championships are expected to feature 250 athletes from 30 countries competing in men’s and women’s team and individual sabre, foil and epee across categories A, B and C.
*     The Government of Odisha has provided a grant of Rs 11,87,031, under the Biju Patnaik Scheme for Sports Excellence (BBSY) to Pujaswini for purchase of equipment.
