DESCRIPTION:
*     Named after Mothavarapu Venkata Mahipathi Naidu, considered the father of cricket in Tamil Nadu, the Buchi Babu tournament was first held in 1909-10.
*     Last season, it returned after a hiatus of 12 years.
*     The winner will take home Rs. 3 lakh while the runner-up will get Rs. 2 lakh.
*     Odisha Cricket Association has announced a 20-member State squad for this multi-day tournament.
*     A total of 16 teams are set to vie for the champions trophy.
*     Teams will play league matches in four groups and the four group toppers will qualify for semifinals.
*     Odisha will compete in Group-B against Indian Railways, Jammu & Kashmir and Baroda.
*     Odisha will meet Baroda from August 18 to 20, Railways from August 22 to 24 and Jammu-Kashmir from August 26 to 28.
*     Semifinals will be held from August 31 to September 3, followed by the final from September 6 to 9.
