*     A total of 24 teams, including host India, will compete in this Junior World Cup, which was first held in 1979.
*     Germany is the most successful team, having won the tournament seven times followed by Argentina and India, having won the tournament two times.
*     Australia and Pakistan have each won the tournament once.
*     India has, so far, won two gold (2001, 2016) and one silver (1997) medals.

Group-B: India, Pakistan, Chile, Switzerland
Group-C: Argentina, New Zealand, Japan, China
Group-D: Spain, Belgium, Egypt, Namibia
