DESCRIPTION:
* The tournament will see top hockey playing nations vie for honours.
* The six teams are: India, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Japan and hosts China.
* India has been the most successful team in the Asian Champions Trophy, winning the title three times and sharing it once with Pakistan.
* Hockey India has announced an 18-member Senior National team for the eighth edition of the Asian Champions Trophy.
* Ace dragflicker Harmanpreet Singh will lead defending champions India with mid-fielder Vivek Sagar Prasad as vice-captain.
* Defender Amit Rohidas has been selected in the Indian team as the only player from Odisha.
* India will begin their campaign against hosts China on September 8, followed by a clash with Japan on September 9.
* After a brief rest, India will take on Malaysia on September 11 and Korea on September 12.
* They will face arch rivals Pakistan in the last Pool stage match on September 14.
* The top four teams in the Pool will advance to the Semi-finals slated for September 16 and the winners will face off in the Final on September 17.
* The Mens Asian Champions Trophy will be broadcast live on Sony Ten 1 SD and HD.
