*     Five players from Odisha have been selected in an 18-member Indian team for this tournament.
*     The five Odisha players are: Madhuri Kindo, Anjali Barwa, Jyoti Chhatri, Sujata Kujur and Sunelita Toppo.
*     Preeti will lead the Indian team with Deepika as her deputy.
*     Indian Junior Women have been placed in Pool A with Korea, Malaysia, Chinese Taipei and Uzbekistan.
*     Pool B consists of hosts Japan, China, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong China and Indonesia.
*     Womens Junior (U-21) Asia Cup 2023 is a qualification event for the FIH Junior Womens World Cup 2023.
*     Womens Junior Asia Cup was first held 1992 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
*     India has bagged one silver (2012) and four bronze (1992, 2000, 2004, 2008) so far.
*     Korea has been the most successful team, winning the gold medal four times.
*     China is the only other champion team, winning the gold medal three times.
