DESCRIPTION:
*     It is an open tournament, where players of all ages can participate.
*     This tournament was started in the year 1991 by renowned industrialist and hotelier Sri Kumar Halder in the memory of his father Makhanlal Halder.
*     The tournament offers a total cash prize of Rs 28,500, including Rs 5,000 for the champion and Rs 4,000 for the runner-up.
*     Players occupying the first twenty positions will be given cash prizes.
*     Former state champion Manas Parida was the champion last year.
*     Free hotel accommodation will be provided to all outstation players on prior intimation.
*     Entry fee is Rs 200 each for senior players and Rs 100 for school children.
