*     Secured a gold in men`s black belt individual kata event of the 12th All-India Ryushinkan Shitoriyo Karate Championship, held at Vivekanandapuram in Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu) on August 24 and 25, 2013.
*     Missed a bronze medal narrowly in the International Karate Championship at Putrajaya in Malayasia in September, 2012.
*     Won gold medal in men`s black belt kata event at the Chennai International Karate Championship for two consecutive years in 2011 and 2012.
*     He also won the silver medal in the 55-60 kg kumite event at the Gujoriyo International Karate Championship in Raigarh in Chhatisgarh in 2008.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
*     Bhoi has been into karate since the age of 16.
*     He learnt the nuances of the martial art from J S Kalaimani, the chief of Ryushinkan Shitoriyo Karate Association in Chennai.
