NATIONAL:
*     Bagged a bronze medal in the Sub-junior National Championship at Bangalore in 2003.
*     Won a gold medal in the Sub-junior National Archery Championship at Cuttack in 2002.
*     Adjudged best archers by winning both the individual and team gold medals in the under-16 boys category of the National Rural Games at Chandigarh in 2002.
*     Won a total of four gold, three silver and two bronze medals in his competitive career.
*     His last National Championship was at Arunachal Pradesh in 2007.

OTHER IMPORTANT DATA:
*     Odisha Power Generation Corporation (OPGC) presented him a two-wheeler in a felicitation function in Bhubaneswar on June 19, 2012.
*     Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh visited his house in June 2012 and lauded his efforts in coaching over 100 tribal youths in the backward district of Malkangiri.
*     He used to play with bow and arrow in forest during his childhood days.
*     Learnt the fundamentals competitive archery, under the guidance of coach Gangadhar Madhi after joining Keonjhar Sports Hostel in the year 2001.
