*     Finish fourth and secured his fourth GM norm in the 3rd Livigno International Open Tournament at Amantea, Italy on Sept 17, 2012.

*     Appointed as the Head of Indian Delegation for the FIDE World Junior (U-20) Chess Championship, scheduled to be held at in Petrovac, Montenegro from 23 February to 8 March 2025.
*     He was the coach of the Indian team that won 24 medals, including nine gold, at the Commonwealth Chess Championship 2024, in Melaka, Malaysia.
*     Married television journalist Sabita Shukla at Nuapada on December 13, 2009.
*     Played five open international tournaments during a two-month (July-Auguest, 2006) tour to Europe with a goal to improve upon his present Elo rating of 2403 and secure two more norms for the GM title.
