* Bagged 2 Gold medals (1 each in C1 women 200m and C2 women 500m) in the 1st Khelo India Water Sports Festival (KIWSF), held at the Dal Lake in Srinagar (J&K) from 21-23 August 2025.
* Won 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal in women sprint C2 500m and C1 200m categories respectively in the 38th National Games medal at the Water Sports Complex in Tehri, Uttarakhand on 11-12 February 2025.
* Won one Bronze medal in women C-2 500m sprint event of the 36th National Games at Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on 10 October 2022.
* Rasmita is said to have won 41 medals, including 13 gold, 14 silver and 14 bronze at various national-level events since she took up canoeing in 2017.

* On 31 August 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, interacted with Rasmita in his monthly radio programme _ Maan Ki Baat.
* PM Modi praised Rasmita for remarkable achievement and encouraged her to inspire more youngsters to take up sports.
* Rasmita hails from a fishing community of Choudwar, Cuttack.
* She was just nine-years old when her father Surendra Sahoo met with a motor accident in 2011, leaving him critically injured, and their five-member family without livelihood.
* In 2015, her mother passed away in a similar road accident.
* Rasmita took water sports seriously after a friend, who used to swim with her in the Mahanadi river, suggested that enrolling in the NCoE at Jagatpur would provide her with a stipend.
* She takes care of her four-member family and building a house.
* She credits her success to SAI coach Laishram Johanson Singh, who used to give her money for travel, food, and excel at National events.
* Rasmita also enjoys running and playing football during her free time.
* She is now preparing to make her international debut at the Asian Games, set to be held in Japan from 19 September to 4 October 2026.
