*     Secured first place in the 1400km Cycling Expedition Odisha Abiskar, organised by Department of Sports & Youth Services, Govt of Odisha in 1988.

*     Excelled in long-distance cycling, winning 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 5 Bronze medals in Junior and Senior National Championships between 1979 and 1989.
*     Won the Silver medal in 182km event of the Senior National Road Cycling Championship, held in New Delhi in 1988.
*     Won the Silver medal in 182km event of the Senior National Road Cycling Championship, held in Bikaner, Rajasthan in 1987.
*     Won the Silver medal in 182km event of the Senior National Road Cycling Championship, held in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh in 1986.
*     Won the Bronze medal in 182km event of the Senior National Road Cycling Championship, held in Bangalore, Karnataka in 1986.
*     Won the 400m IP Gold medal in the Junior National Track Cycling Championship, held at Trivandrum, Kerala in 1982.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS AS COACH:
*     After hanging up his bike, Das took to coaching and shaped the careers of scores of national and international cyclists, including Swasti Singh and Dinesh Kumer, the most decorated cyclists of Odisha.
*     His other National-level disciples include Rohit Hembram, Chinmay Jena, Ssaksad Patra, Mitanjali Nayak, Prava Soreng, Rita Padhy, Namita Patra, S Krita Ranjan and Pritesh Baskey.

*     Functioned at vice-president of Orissa Cycling Association from August 2015.
*     Also functioned as a vice-president of Odisha Cycling Association.
