ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION: Master in Science (Ravenshaw College).
PROFESSION: Served as Demonstrator in the Geology Department of Ravenshaw College, Cuttack for 32 years before retiring in 2011.

PERFORMANCE AS PLAYER: Played cricket at college level as a pace bowler.
PERFORMANCE/ACHIEVEMENT AS SPORTS ORGANISER:
*     Functioning as the secretary of Mangala Club, Cuttack since 1978-79.
*     Joined Orissa Cricket Association (OCA) as council member in 1979.
*     Played the role of local manager of touring New Zealand and other zonal cricket teams.
*     Peformed as a BCCI observer in many international matches.
*     Peformed as a member of BCCI`s Tour and Fixture Committee for three years, Junior Cricket Committee for two years and Senior Tournament Committee since 2011.
*     Functioned as the joint-secretary of OCA for three terms (1988 to 2008).
*     Functioning as the treasurer of OCA since 2008.
*     Toured Australia and South Africa as a member of BCCI delegation in 2008 and 2010 respectively.
*     Helped OCA get the right to host several international matches.
*     He was the manager of Orissa senior team that reached Ranji Trophy semifinals.
*     He was the manager of Orissa under-15 team that became East Zone champions for the first time.
*     Performed as the manager of East Zone team several time.
