PERFORMANCE/ACHIEVEMENT AS ATHLETE:
*     Held the state polevault record for 15 years since 1974.
*     Achieved his caree best mark of 3.40 metre in a National meet and missed medal narrowly due to technical fault.
*     Performed as a bare-foot polevaulter and with bamboo pole.
*     Participated in Senior National Athletics meet thrice at Palai (Kerala), Hyderabad and Madras in 1970s.
*     Participated in Inter-University Athletic Meet in Kerala.

PERFORMANCE/ACHIEVEMENT AS COACH:
*     Promoted to the post of senior coach in 1992.
*     Served at different places in the state including Bhawanipatna, Bisoi Sports School (Mayurbhanj), Baripada, Cuttack, Keonjhar and Bhubaneswar.
*     Served as the in-charge of Bhubaneswar Sports Hostel from 1989 to 1997.
*     Working as the in-charge of Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar since May 31, 2010.
*     Groomed many athletes including Kulamani Nial, Laxmipriya Muduli, Gokul Mohanta, Basanti Hota, Manoranjan Mohanta, Tipu Hembram, Jagannath Majhi, Makara Sardar and Madhab Purty.
