CAREER PERFORMANCE/ACHIEVEMENT:
*     Represented India in the International School Athletics Meet at Florance, Italy in 1974.
*     Excelled both in sprint and high jump from 1970 to 1979.
*     During the above-mentioned period, she was the undisputed queen of high jump in the country, breaking the National record nine times.
*     The National high jump record she created in the Inter-State Athletics Meet at Madras in 1977 by clearing a height of 1.67 metre, lasted for 12 years.
*     During her illustrious career she secured as many as 20 gold medals in different National and international meets.
