*    Played hockey for Cuttack district for seven years.
*    Represented Rising Star Club, Sunshine Club, Radhagobinda Club in the A Division of the Cuttack Football League. Represented Lalbag Club in the All-India Football Tournament at Chindwada, MP.
*    Represented Rising Star, Juvenile and Mangala Club in the OCA Cricket League.
*    Represented Cuttack district in the State Kabaddi Championship for two years.
*    Finished runner-up in the Cuttack District Wrestling Championship once in 1969.

PERFORMANCE/ACHIEVEMENT AS CRICKET COACH:
*    Took up coaching by assisting eminent coaches MP Parmar and TS Naidu in the state camp from 1981 to 2000.

*    Among his disciples Sanjay Raul playeed One-Day International; Kulamani Parida, Ajay Barik and Pravanjan Mullick played for India `A`; Hrushikesh Bangari, Subit Biswal, Rakesh Mohanty and Bighnesh Mohanty played for India Colts; Gagan Mahalik, Jiji Mahalik, Jayadev Mohanty, Bishnudev Mohanty, Chiranjib Biswal, Pawan Agarwal, Pannalal Bose, Rajesh Singh, Manoj Bhatt, Dhirendra Rout, Subhankar Mishra and Tapan Das played Ranji Trophy.

PERFORMANCE/ACHIEVEMENT AS ORGANISING OFFICIAL:
*    Functioned as vice-president of Orissa Cricket Association for two terms (1990 to 2000).
*    Functioning as the head of OCA Coaching & Grounds Committee since 1982.
*    Officiated more than 10 matches, including Central vs West Inter-Zonal Under-22 tie at Baripada, as a BCCI umpire from 1979 to 1981.
