*     Won the long jump gold medal in boys-20 age group of the 66th Odisha State Athletics Meet, held at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack from 28-30 December, 2018.
*     Won the long jump gold and 100m silver medal in U-20 boys group of the 65th Odisha State Athletics Championship, held at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack from Dec 28-30, 2017.
*     Won the long jump bronze medal in U-18 boys group of the 64th Odisha State Athletics Championship, held at Cuttack from April 2-4, 2017.

*     He was part of the Boys-20 team that won gold medal in 4x100m relay event of the 31st East Zone Junior Athletics Championship, held at Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand on 14-15 September, 2019.
*     Gold medal in U-20 boys long jump event of the 30th East Zone Junior Athletics Championship, held at Patna, Bihar on Sept 15 and 16, 2018.

NATIONAL:
*     Won 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal in mens long jump and 4x100m relay events of the 64th National Open Athletics Championship at Birsa Munda Stadium in Ranchi on 29 September 2025.
*     Won the Gold medal with Meet Record (39.52s) in mens 4x100m relay event of the 64th National Inter State Senior Athletics Championship at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on 22 August 2025.
*     He was part of the Odisha mens 4x100m relay team that secured the 3rd position at the Indian Grand Prix-5 in Chandigarh on 11 September 2023.

INTERNATIONAL:
*     Won the mens long jumb Bronze medal in the 4th South Asian Senior Athletics Championships at Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium in Ranchi, Jharkhand on 26 October 2025.

MISCELLANEOUS:
*     Secured 1st position in mens long jump at the Indian Open Athletics Meet, held at Patliputra Stadium in Patna, Bihar on 19 July 2025.
*     Secured 2nd position in mens long jump event of the Indian Open Athletics Meet, held at Savitribai Phule Pune University Sports Complex in Pune on 12 July 2025.
*     Won the mens 4x100m Gold medal for Sambalpur University in the 4th Khelo India University Games at IG Athletics Stadium in Guwahati on 26 February 2024.

*     Sarun started his athletics career at Bhubaneswar-based Government Sports Hostel, under the guidance of coach Rajkumari Patra.
*     After honing his skills for seven years from 2016 to 2023 at the Bhubaneswar Sports Hostel, he joined Odisha-Reliance Foundation Athletics HPC.
