MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS AS PLAYER:
* Represented Orissa in the Senior National Championship for 15 years (1992 to 2008).
* Finished singles runner-up in the East Zone Inter-University Tournament at Dibrugarh, Assam in 1994.
* Entered the main-draw second round before losing to former National champion Chetan Baboor in the 62nd Senior National Championship at Cuttack in 2008.
ACHIEVEMENTS AS COACH:
* He was the coach of the Odisha U-15 Boys Team that created history by winning the Bronze medal (first-ever team medal) for the State in 85th Inter State Sub-Junior & Cadet National Table Tennis Championships at the Abhay Prashal Indoor Stadium in Indore, Madhya Pradesh on 18 January 2024.
* Took up coaching in the year 1993-94 and went on to become an ITTF Level-1 qualified coach.
* His leading students include Tousif Haque, Asif Haque and Mohammad Azhar.
* Appointed as one of four coaches to conduct a National coaching camp for sub-junior and cadet boys and girls at Cuttack in May 2010.
* Selected as the coach of Indian sub-junior girls and boys teams for the tour of Guatemala and El Salvador in August 7 to 16, 2013.
