* Represented Orissa in Senior National Championships from 1978 to 1980 after joining Steel Authority of India (SAIL) in Rourkela.
* Represented Indian Railways at the National Championships for four years from 1974 to 1977, winning four gold medals.
* Represented Services at the National Championships without break from 1966 to 1973.
INTERNATIONAL:
* Represented India in three World Cups and one Olympic Games.
* Helped India win gold medal in 1975 Kuala Lumpur World Cup.
* He was also part of the Indian team that won the silver medal at the 1974 Asian Games in Tehran, Iran.
* Helped India win silver medal in 1973 Amsterdam World Cup.
* Helped India win bronze medal in 1972 Munich Olympic Games. Scored one goal each against Great Britain, Mexico and New Zealand.

* Known as The Wall of Indian team, Kindo formed a near-impregnable defence with Surjit Singh and Aslam Sher Khan.
