After suffering two defeats each, both Odisha and Services earned respective first point in the Ranji Trophy Senior Mens Cricket Championship as the rain-marred Elite Group-C league match between the two teams ended in a draw at KIIT Cricket Stadium in Bhubaneswar today.

Due to heavy rain, caused by cyclone Arnab, almost three days of the four-day match were washed out. However, Services were better-placed when the match ended in a draw without both teams completing respective first innings.

Opting to bowl first, Services rode on a six-wicket haul by Pulkit Narang to dismiss host Odisha for a modest total of 194. None of the Odisha batters were able to score a half-century. Services were 13 for no loss in five overs when stumps were drawn for the opening day.

After the proceedings were completely washed out for the next two days, Services batted for seven overs on the final day before the match ended in a damp draw. Odisha left-arm medium fast bowler Omkar Mohanty made his debut in this match. He replaced right-arm medium-fast bowler Prashant Rana, who sustained an injury.
