  U-16 Inter-District Cricket: Surya, Samarjeet, Soheb shine

Surya K Sethi (Bhadrak) and Samarjeet Sahoo (Jagatsinghpur) scored a century each, while Soheb Khan (Jagatsinghpur) and Adarsh Yadav (Jharsuguda) claimed five wickets apiece in respective preliminary league matches of the OCA U-16 Boys Inter-District Cricket Tournament at different grounds in Tangi, Khordha and Bhubaneswar today. Jharsuguda, Bhubaneswar-B, Bhadrak, Keonjhar, Jagatsinghpur and Balangir registered wins in six matches of the day.

RESULTS (23 April 2026):

Match 85 (DRIEMS Stadium, Tangi): Nayagarh 115/10 in 25.1 overs (Sai Narayan 26; Adarsh Yadav 5/31) lost to Jharsuguda 156/9 in 37 overs (Anuj Singh 41*; Sai Narayan 4/38) by 1 wicket. PoM: Adarsh Yadav.
 

Match 86 (Adaspur College Ground, Adaspur): Bhubaneswar-B 268/6 in 50 overs (Pratikhit Pradhan 73; Pragyan Mishra 3/50) beat Kendrapara 184/10 in 43.1 overs (Pragyan Mishra 31; Ayush Raut 4/40) by 84 runs. PoM: Ayush Raut.

Match 87 (BJBHS Ground, Khordha): Bhadrak 252/5 in 49 overs (Surya K Sethi 114, Satyaprakash Sahoo 71*; Shivansh Agrawal 4/11) beat Bargarh 157/10 in 42.5 overs (Rayansh Tuli 43; Sk Kalimuddin 4/23, Subhasish Nayak 4/39) by 95 runs. PoM: Surya K Sethi.

Match 88 (Nimpur Ground, Cuttack): Kalahandi 50/10 in 24.5 overs (Arpit Samal 20; Raja M Nayak 4/10, Sai Saswat Khuntia 4/13) lost to Keonjhar 52/1 in 8.2 overs (Jogeswar Mahanta 18*) by 9 wickets. PoM: Sai Saswat Khuntia.
