Barabati United Club emerged champions of the MGM FAO 2nd Division Football League, trouncing OGP Club 3-0 in the final at Bidanasi Ground in Cuttack today. Sumanta Kumar Marandi was the star of the victory, scoring a brace.
The champion team received a prize of Rs 25,000, while runners-up OGP Club took home Rs 15,000. Earlier in the semifinals, Barabati United Club stunned Nita Football Academy 2-0, while OGP Club outclashed Lalbag Club 3-0. The tournament was organized by the Football Association of Odisha (FAO).
