Odisha’s new swimming sensation Sourav Putel clinched back-to-back gold medal in Group-II boys breaststroke events of the 42nd Sub-Junior National Aquatic Championships at SMS Stadium Swimming Pool in Jaipur, Rajasthan today.

The 14-year-old swimmer from Balangir district, completed the double by winning the 200m breaststroke gold with a time of two minutes and 30.04 seconds. Arjun Raghavan (Karnataka) and Avigyan Ghosh (Bengal) claimed the silver and bronze medal respectively.

A cadet of Bhubaneswar-based Odisha IIS/JSW Swimming High Performance Centre, Sourav made a glorious Sub-Junior National debut two days back, securing 100m breaststroke gold, clocking 1:08.60.
