Raghav Biswal (Cuttack) and Arnica Dash (Khordha) won the open and girls titles respectively in the Odisha State Under-11 Chess Championship, which was organized by All Odisha Chess Association (AOCA) at Manoj The Non-Veg World, Patia, Bhubaneswar from 18 to 21 June 2026. Satya Swarup Tripathy and Preetika Pradhan (both Khordha) finished runner-up in open and girls categories respectively.
The eight-round championship offered a total prize fund of Rs 30,000, including Rs 3,500 for each title winner. Top two finishers qualified to represent Odisha in the 39th National U-11 Open & Girls Chess Championship, scheduled to be held in Mangaluru, Karnataka from 2 to 8 August 2026.
Odisha Sports Minister inaugurated the championship, while State BJP vice-president Golak Mohapatra and Odisha Grand Master Debasish Das handed over the trophies at the closing ceremony. AOCA president Satya Ranjan Patnaik, joint-secretary Bhabesh Mohanty, Khordha District Chess Association secretary Subhasish Patnaik and chief arbiter Suresh Chandra Sahoo were present on the occasion.
