  U-16 Inter-District Cricket: Suvam scalps 7; Asis hits ton

Suvam Parida bagged seven wickets for 24 runs to help Bhubaneswar-A register a 141-run win against Deogarh in their preliminary league match of the OCA U-16 Boys Inter-District Cricket Tournament at DRIEMS Ground in Tangi, Cuttack today. Puri, KIIT, Khordha, Kandhamal and Rourela registered wins in five other matches of the day.

Among other notable performers of the day, Asis Panda hit a century for KIIT, while Shreejeet Bhuyan and Vansh Khandelwal captured five wickets each for KIIT and Khordha respectively.

RESULTS (4 April 2026):

Match 13 (BJB Schoo Ground, Khordha): Dhenkanal 181/9 in 49 overs (Ayush Baral 38*, Shreyanshu Mohanty 37; Aryan Mohanty 3/22) lost to Puri 182/3 in 42 overs (Aryan Mohanty 80*, Ankit Mohanty 46; Rgeet Sahu 2/18) by 7 wickets. PoM: Aryan Mohanty.
 

Match 14 (Adashpur Ground, Cuttack): KIIT 281/10 in 44.2 overs (Asis A Panda 107, Shreejeet Bhuyan 83; James Lima 4/45) beat Gajapati 146/10 in 43.3 overs (Jemes Lima 62; Shreejeet Bhuyan 5/34) by 135 runs. PoM: Shreejeet Bhuyan.

Match 15 (Sunshine Ground, Cuttack): Khordha 178/10 in 42.1 overs (Saransh Tiwari 47, Aakarsh Pattanaik 35; Vansh Khandelwal 5/40) beat Cuttack-B 88/10 in 38.3 overs (Sai Soumik Mohanty 40; Omm P Behera 4/6, Saransh Tiwari 4/24) by 90 runs. PoM: Saransh Tiwari.
