  Kalahandi Cup Cricket: Puri upset Bhubaneswar-B

Puri stunned Bhubaneswar-B by seven wickets in their preliminary league match of the OCA Senior Men Inter-District Cricket Tournament for Kalahandi Cup at BJB School Ground in Khordha today. Binaya K Paikaray was the main architect of the Puri win, scoring 73 runs.

Angul, Bargarh, Keonjhar, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Cuttack-A, Ganjam and Gajapati posted wins in eight other matches of the day. Among notable performers of the day, Rohit Sagar (Ganjam) and Subham Routo (Gajapati) claimed five wickets each.

Match 55 (Railway Ground, Jatni): Bhadrak 131/10 in 49.2 overs (Amreet Upadhyaya 30; Akash Pradhan 3/22) lost to Angul 132/1 in 37.1 overs (Panakala Sasanka 61*) by 9 wickets. PoM: Akash Pradhan.
 

Match 56 (BJB School Ground, Khordha): Bhubaneswar-B 241/7 in 47 overs (Ayush Sutar 95, Bishal Priyadarshi 50*; Debasis Dash 2/54) lost to Puri 242/3 in 43.3 overs (Binaya K Paikaray 73, Mayank Pattanayak 56) by 7 wickets. PoM: Binaya K Paikaray.

Match 57 (DRIEMS Cricket Ground): Mayurbhanj 144/10 in 37.5 overs (Rohan K Sahoo 24; Ajit K Yadav 3/23) lost to Bargarh 145/4 in 30.4 overs (Rohan Kumar 64*) by 6 wickets. PoM: Ajit K Yadav.

Match 59 (MGM Ground): Kalahandi 252/9 in 50 overs (Subham Dash 67; Soham J Sahoo 4/50, Arun Moharana 3/50) beat Jagatsinghpur 190/10 in 41.5 overs (Soubhagya Mishra 77; Ashutosh Kumar 4/47) by 62 runs. PoM: Ashutosh Kumar.
