  CK Nayudu Trophy: Odisha end campaign with loss to Mumbai

The Odisha campaign in the Elite Group-B of the Col C K Nayudu Trophy U-23 Multi-Day Cricket Tournament ended with a 10-wicket defeat against Mumbai on the fourth and last day at Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana in Mumbai today. This was the third defeat for Odisha, who failed to qualify for the knock-out stage as they finished sixth in Group-B with 51 points from seven matches.

Odisha won two matches and conceded first-innings lead in their other two games, which ended in draws. Mumbai and Rajasthan qualified for the pre-quarterfinals from this group with 84 and 76 points respectively.

The defeat notwithstanding, Odisha found a few positives with Ayush Sutar hitting a century in the second innings and Badal Biswal bagging five wickets in the first innings. Stumper Dinesh Majhi, captain Om T Munde and Sujal Singh also scored a half-century each in the match.
