11 Feb 2026

National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) president and Balangir MLA Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo today congratulated Odisha shooter Manyata Singh on winning the silver medal in junior womens 10m air rifle event on her debut at the ongoing Asian Shooting Championship in New Delhi.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the talented Odisha shooter Manyata Singh on winning the silver medal at the Asian Shooting Championship. This achievement is a matter of immense pride for Odisha and for the entire nation,” he said in a press statement.

“To stand on the podium at a continental championship requires extraordinary discipline, resilience, and composure under pressure. Manyata has demonstrated all these qualities with remarkable maturity,” added Singh Deo, who himself is a former National trap shooting champion.

Commenting on the impact of Manyata achievement, the NRAI chief said: “Her success reflects not only her individual dedication but also the steady rise of Indian shooting on the global stage. It reinforces the belief that with the right support system, our young athletes can compete with the very best in Asia and the world.

“For Odisha, this medal is particularly inspiring. It sends a powerful message to aspiring sportspersons across the state that excellence is within reach through hard work and perseverance. I congratulate Manyata, her family, coaches, and the entire support team behind this success. I am confident that this silver medal is only the beginning of many greater achievements to come,” stated Singh Deo, also a former Parliament Member.
