  Peru Para Badminton: Deep, Subhrajeet win 3 medals

Odisha para badminton athletes Deep Ranjan Bisoyee and Subhrajeet Maharana won a total of three medals in the Peru Para Badminton International 2025, a Badminton World Federation (BWF) Level 2 Para Badminton Tournament, which was held in Lima, Peru from 12 to 17 August 2025. The three medals featured one gold and two bronze.

Deep clinched the gold in mens doubles SL3-SU4 category, partnering with fellow Indian Manoj Sarkar. They defeated Diogo Deniel (Portugal) and his partner Mathieu Thomas (France) in the final 22-20, 21-11. Deep also secured one bronze medal in mens singles SL4 category by reaching semifinals, where he lost to Rogerio Oliveira (Brazil) 4-21, 23-21, 15-21.

Subhrajeet, partnering with Md Arwaz Ansari won the bronze medal in the mens doubles SL3-SL4 category after losing to Diogo Deniel (Portugal) and his partner Mathieu Thomas (France) in the semifinals 14-21, 13-21. Indian players bagged a total of seven medals in the six-day tournament. The seven medals include two gold, one silver and four bronze.
