Odisha pair of Ayush Pattanayak and Abinash Mohanty bagged the mens doubles silver medal in the JE Wilson Ghana International Badminton Tournament, which was held at Borteyman Sports Complex in Accra, Ghana from 13 to 17 August 2025.

Indian shuttlers secured a total of four medals in this Badminton World Federation (BWF) ranking tournament, which carried a total prize fund of USD 5,000. Among other Indian medal winners, Aalisha Naik captured the womens singles gold, Dhruv Rawat and Maneesha K claimed the mixed doubles silver, and Suraj Goala and Dhruv Rawat pocketed the mens doubles bronze.

Ayush and Abinash settled for the silver medal after losing to Indonesian opponents Anselmus Breagit Fredy Prasetya and Pulung Ramadhan in the final 11-21, 13-21. Top seeds Ayush and Abinash played a total of four matches, won three and lost one.

After getting a bye in the first round, the Odisha pair defeated Ghana combination of Melchizedek Takyi Adu and Obapomba Adu-Mintah 21-9, 21-12 in pre-quarterfinals and Nigerian opponents Saidu Aliyu Aderinola Samuel 21-17, 21-12 in quarterfinals. In the semifinals they prevailed over the Kazakhstan pair of Dmitriy Panarin and Makhsut Tajibullayev 21-12, 21-10.
