Host Odisha players bagged two singles and one doubles titles in the 5th Ganesh Mishra Memorial TAB AITA OTA All India Championship Series U-14 & U-16 Ranking Tennis Tournament, which was organised by Tennis Association of Bhubaneswar (TAB), under the aegis of Odisha Tennis Association (OTA) and All India Tennis Association (AITA) at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar from 4 to 8 August 2025.
Sutavya Karmakar, Shazfa Wania S K and Suyash Patnaik won the three titles for Odisha in U-16 boys singles, U-16 girls singles and U-14 boys doubles respectively. Sutavya also finished runner-up in U-16 boys doubles with West Bengal partner Syed Faizan Hussain. Sanrachana Das was another notable performer for Odisha, finishing U-16 girls singles runner-up.
OTA secretary Sanjeeb Panda was the chief guest of the closing ceremony and handed over the prizes. Tournament referee Prabin Kumar Nayak and TAB secretary Siba Prasad Parida were present on the occasion.
RESULTS (All finals):
U-14 Boys Singles: Aheel Mohammed (Telangana) beat Naman Saraf (Karnataka) 7-5, 6-4.
U-14 Girls Singles: Bhargavi Sharma (Bihar) beat Maahira Bhatia (Uttarakhand) 6-2, 6-2.
U-16 Boys Singles: Sutavya Karmakar (Odisha) beat Shreyanth M (Karnataka) 6-1, 7-5.
U-16 Girls Singles: Shazfa Wania S K (Odisha) beat Sanrachana Das (Odisha) 6-2, 6-0.
U-14 Boys Doubles: Chandra Mohanty (Assam) & Suyash Patnaik (Odisha) beat Kempegowda Manjunath and Naman Saraf (Karnataka) 6-2, 6-4.
U-16 Boys Doubles: Tarun H and Shreyanth M (Karnataka) beat Syed Faizan Hussain (West Bengal) and Sutavya Karmakar (Odisha) 6-3, 6-3.
U-16 Girls Doubles: Maahira Bhatia (Uttarakhand) and Dhruti Gundu (Telangana) beat Nealakshi Das (West Bengal) and Priyal Saraf (Karnataka) 7-6(3), 6-2.
