Top seed Rakesh Roshan Pradhan bagged the title in the 2nd Greenbaize Classic All-Odisha 10-Red Snooker Tournament, which concluded at Vintage Club in Bhubaneswar today. The triumph for Pradhan, a medico by profession, assumed added significance as he upset international cueist Asutosh Padhy in the final by 5-3 frames.

Trailing 2-3 at one stage, Pradhan won three frames in a row to clinch the match 4-76, 53-18, 44-41, 34-75, 29-57, 44-24, 58-46, 53-50. He pocketed a cash prize of Rs 25,000, while runner-up Padhy received Rs 12,500. Losing semifinalists Subrat Das and Abinash Mohapatra were given Rs 6000 each.

Losing quarterfinalists Kunal Agarwal, Chirag Arora, Siddharth Sen and Aakash Mohapatra became richer by Rs 3000 each. The prize for highest break went to Ashutosh Padhy for his brilliant 76 in the first frame of the title clash today. He received Rs 5000.

Most promising player award was bagged by Nishi Prakash Das. He qualified for the main draw, hitting a 60+ break and displaying terrific temperament during the tournament. The eight-day tournament, which was participated by 70 cueists, carried a total prize fund of Rs 1 lakh. Nishant Biswal, a top-notch cueist of the State, was the coordinator of the tournament.

Trophies and cash prizes were handed overs by Mishal Swain (MD, Oasis Convention & Lawn), Nishank Agarwalla (Associate Director, Khimji Jewellers), Debanjan Ray (CHRO, Khimji Jewellers), Dibyajyoti Mishra (Director, DION Group), Dr Atanu Ranjan Nayak (MD, LCPS), P Govinda Rao (Proprietor, PSR Fruits), Sudipta Dash (Proprietor, 15 Reds Snooker Club), Altaf Ali (MD, Ad-ventures Advertising) and tournament president Shyam Agarwal.
