Sutavya Karmakar clinched a double crown for Odisha, winning both the U-16 boys singles and doubles titles in the AITA-OTA Talent Series U-14 & U-16 Tennis Tournament, which was hosted by Odisha Tennis Association (OTA) with the support of State Sports Department at Kalinga Stadium Tennis Complex in Bhubaneswar from 21 to 26 July 2025.

Sutavya emerged singles champion, defeating West Bengal opponent Syde Faizan Hussain in the final 6-4, 7-5. He completed his double, winning the doubles final with Syde Faizan Hussain as his partner. The Odisha-West Bengal pair beat Odisha combination of Anshuman Acharya and Suyash Patnaik 6-2, 6-2.

The U-14 singles crown went to Swapneel Ghosh from West Bengal. He defeated Assam opponent Chandra Mohanty 7-5, 6-0 in the summit clash. A total of 52 players from five states participated in the six-day tournament.

OTA secretary Sanjeeb Panda and joint-secretary Sambit Pattnaik handed over the trophies to the finalists, in the presence of tournament referee Itee Pradhan. The title winners and runners-up earned 12 and 15 AITA ranking points respectively.
