Odisha won two gold and two silver medals in 10m air pistol (NR) events of the 9th East Zone Shooting Championship, which concluded at Saket Singh Shooting Academy in Patna, Bihar today. Earlier, Odisha shooters bagged four gold and two silver  in the air rifle events, which took place at Kalyanbigha in Nalanda, Bihar from September 15.

In the 10m air pistol (NR) competition, Puja Rani Barik and Suchismita Jena secured one gold each in deaf women and master women categories respectively. The two silver medals were claimed by Reeta Mohanty and Dikhya Shree Ray in master women and sub youth women groups respectively.

Besides the medal winners, another 26 shooters represented Odisha in air pistol competitions of the East Zone Championship. They were: Atish Kumar Naik, Debasish Rout, Amit Avijit Choudhury, Krishna Kumar Gupta, Hiteswar Sahoo, Biswasthita Pragnya Pradhan, Ujwal Kumar Sahu, Susama Barik, Swatirani Garnaik, Romi Kumari, Rati Ranjan Swain, Sushree Chhualsingh, Sara Singh, Priyanshu Mahana, Ayushman Moharana, Aditya Narayan Barik, Priyesh Prieetidutt, Mahika Patra, Fatima Abbasi, Manas Ranjan Swain, Nirupama Swain, Balabhadra Das, Sibani Nanda, Rajendra Prasad Parida, Prasanta Kumar Routray and Shrestha Sharma.
