Riding on the stellar performance of Priyansa Hota, Odisha bagged six medals in the 10m air rifle (NR) events of the 9th East Zone Shooting Championship, which is being conducted by Bihar State Rifle Association, under the aegis of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) at Kalyanbigha in Nalanda (Bihar) from 15 to 19 September 2025.

The six medals include four gold and two silver. Priyansa pocketed all the four gold medals, including one each in sub youth (U-16) women, youth (U-19) women, junior (U-21) women and senior women categories.

Somya Ranjan Panda secured one silver medal sub youth men category, while the other silver was claimed by Atrisha Rout deaf women category. According to NRAI, a total of 26 shooters represented Odisha in the East Zone championship.

Other 23 Odisha shooters were: Mohammad Sajid Raza, Sudip Kumar, Siddhartha Sharma, Satyam Bisoi, Debendranath Dhal, Swastik Sekhar Swain, Somesh Kumar Bindhani, Roshini Panda, Debashish Rout, Satyam Shivam Tripathy, Atish Kumar Naik, Sanjna Sahoo, Rozalin Mohapatra, Mridula Dey, Anvi Kumari, Srishti Das, Sriya Surendra Behera, Atrisha Rout, Sachee Swain, Aiswariya Mohanty, Tanisi Tannistha, Anuksha Sahu and Sampurna Kaur.
