The Football Association of Odisha (FAO) today announced the appointment of new Womens Selection Committees, entrusted with the responsibility of scouting and selecting the best possible women footballers from across the State. These committees will play a crucial role in identifying and nurturing talent to represent Odisha in various national tournaments.

Former India women football team captain and FAO joint-secretary, Shradhanjali Samantaray has been appointed as chairperson of both the committees. Members of both the committees are former India women footballers.

Senior Women Selection Committee: Shradhanjali Samantaray (Chairperson); Ranjita Mohanty, Gitanjali Khuntia, Gayatri Mallick, Sasmita Mallick (all members).

Junior Women Selection Committee: Shradhanjali Samantaray (Chairperson); Sarita Jayanti Behera, Mamata Kumari Samanta, Alochana Senapati, Suprava Samal, Swarnamayee Samal (all members).
