  State Ranking Badminton: Ayank clinches triple crown

Sambalpur boy Ayank Kumar Sahu won three titles to clinch a treble in the OSBA Mini (U-9 & U-11) and Sub-Junior (U-13) State Ranking Badminton Tournament, which was organized by Balasore District Badminton Association, under the aegis of Orissa State Badminton Association at Multi-Purpose Indoor Hall in Balasore from 5 to 7 September 2025.

Ayank won the three titles in U-13 boys singles, doubles and mixed doubles categories. Laxmi Priya Gachhayat (Jagatsinghpur), Samar Mohanty and Sai Priya Subudhi (both Khordha) were three other notable achievers of the tournament, bagging a double crown each. Arnav Sahu (Balangir) and Pratyusha Priyadarshini (Cuttack) claimed one title apiece.
 

FINAL RESULTS:

U-13 boys singles: Ayank Kumar Sahu (Sambalpur) beat Panshul Sethi (Khordha) 21-6, 21-7.

U-13 boys doubles: Ayank Kumar Sahu (Sambalpur) & Arnav Das (Balasore) beat Anuroop Sahu (Rayagada) & Panshul Sethi (Khordha) 21-17, 21-9.

U-13 girls singles: Laxmi Priya Gachhayat (Jagatsinghpur) beat Sanvi Sahu (Khordha) 21-11, 21-13.

U-13 girls doubles (Round Robin League): 1. Laxmi Priya Gachhayat (Jagatsinghpur) & Sanvi Shu (Khordha) champion with 4 wins, 2. Darshwana Jagadev (Khordha) & Sharaya Pinniti (Bhubaneswar-Khordha) runners-up with 3 wins, 1 loss.

U-13 mixed doubles: Ayank Kumar Sahu & Alina Raj (both Sambalpur) beat Ruturaj Putel (Sundargarh) & Risika Das (Cuttack) 21-12, 21-16.

U-11 boys singles: Samar Mohanty (Khordha) beat Sai Aashis (Khordha) 21-14, 16-21, 21-14.

U-11 boys doubles: Samar Mohanty & Master Ivan (both Khordha) beat Sai Aashis & Vihaan Samantaray (both Khordha) 21-9, 21-14.

U-11 girls singles: Sai Priya Subudhi (Khordha) beat Aarni Behera (Sambalpur) 25-23, 22-20.

U-11 girls doubles (Round Robin League): 1. Sai Priya Subudhi (Khordha) & Vanshika Mallick (Cuttack) champions with 3 wins, 2. Aarni Behera (Sambalpur) & Amrita Rout (Cuttack) runners-up with 2 wins, 1 loss.

U-9 boys singles: Arnav Sahu (Balangir) beat Shrihaan Pattnaik (Khordha) 21-5, 21-12.

U-9 girls singles: Pratyusha Priyadarshini (Cuttack) beat Aditri Saikriti Jena (Jajpur) 21-10, 21-17.
