Sutavya Karmakar and Ayush Pattanaik won one title each of host Odisha in the UWTA AITA-OTA Championship Series U-14 & U-16 Tennis Tournament, which was organised by United Womens Tennis Association (UWTA), under the aegis of Odisha Tennis Association (OTA) and All India Tennis Association (AITA) at Sai Academy Sports Complex in Sakhigopal, Puri from 25 August to 3 September 2025.

Sutavya emerged U-16 singles champion, defeating Atharv Anand (Bihar) in the final 7-6 (7-5), 1-6, 10-3. Ayush, a trainee of Ace Base Tennis Academy (Naharkanta, Bhubaneswar) won the title in U-16 boys doubles with Chandra Mohanty (Assam) as his partner.

Ayush and Chandra fought back from a set down to defeat Odisha-Jharkhand pair of Sutavya Karmakar and Saphal Aagman in tie-breaker (3-6, 6-1, 10-7). The U-14 boys singles crown went to Arthav Anand (Bihar), who prevailed over Chandra Mohanty (Assam) 6-1, 6-4 in the summit clash.

Around 40 players from nine states participated in the week-long tournament. OTA joint-secretary Sambit Pattnaik handed over the trophies at the closing ceremony. UWTA president Sushree Priyadarshini Mishra, Odisha tennis international Chinmay Pradhan and tournament referee Jatin Batsya were present on the occasion.
