Swadhin settled for the bronze medal, finishing third with a leap of 2.18 metres. With the addition of two medals on the fourth day, the total number of medals for Odisha increased to four, which include two gold, one silver and one bronze.

Earlier, Odisha mens 4x100m team, featuring Amiya Mallick, Animesh Kujur, Lalu Prasad Bhoi and Sarun Payasingh, won the gold medal with new meet record, while Divya Shandilya bagged the silver medal in womens hammer throw.

Among other Odisha athletes in action today, native sprinter Dondapati Mrutyam Jayaram featured in the final of the mens 200m sprint and finished sixth with a time of 21.41 seconds. Manisha Merel finished 11th in womens long jump with an effort of 5.60 metres, while Laxmipriya Kisan claimed the fifth position in womens 800m run, clocking 2:09.37.
