  AAC 2025: Srabani secures silver; Animesh bags bronze

Odisha sprinters Srabani Nanda and Animesh Kujur one silver and one bronze medal for India on the fifth and last day of the 26th Asian Athletics Championship at Gumi Civic Stadium in Gumi, South Korea today. India finished runners-up with a total of 24 medals, which featured eight gold, 10 silver and six bronze.

Olympian Srabani was part of the Indian women 4x100m relay team that won the silver medal with a time of 43.86 seconds. Animesh, who hails from Chhattisgarh but represents Odisha as a top sprinter of the Bhubaneswar-based Odisha Reliance Foundation Athletics HPC, captured the bronze medal in men 200m run with a National Record, clocking 20.32 seconds. This was the personal best of Animesh, who bettered his previous best of 20.40 seconds.
