  U-19 Men Inter-Dist Cricket: Bhadrak end Jharsuguda winning run

Jharsuguda suffered their first defeat after four successive wins as they lost to Bhadrak by 14 runs in a crucial Group-A preliminary league match of the OCA U-19 Men Inter-District Cricket Tournament (One-Day Format) at Adaspur Ground in Cuttack today.

Nabarangpur stunned Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) by 20 runs, thanks to a four-wicket haul by Dilip Bisoi. Bhubaneswar-B rode on a century by Subhasis Mallick and five wicket haul by Soham Patnaik to crush Nayagarh by 69 runs.

Jajpur prevailed over Rayagada, Sambalpur-B got the better of Sonepur and Khordha defeated Boudh in three other matches of the day.

Match 25 (Ravenshaw Ground-2): Jajpur 282/7 in 47 overs (Asish Parida 72*, Soubhagya R Dhal 61; Sanjay Bathlia 3/37, G Poorna Bhaskar 3/72) beat Rayagada 73/9 in 20.2 overs (Thota L Kumar 35; Md Hamid Raza 4/12, Durga P Behera 4/25) by 209 runs. PoM: Durga P Behera.

Match 26 (Adaspur Ground): Bhadrak 99/8 in 20 overs (Sahil Khan 26, Sai Swaroop Rout 24*; Om Sakunia 3/16, Adarsh Rai 2/33) beat Jharsuguda 85/7 in 20 overs (P Ashwin Kumar 31; Sahil Khan 2/12, Chandan Patra 2/20) by 14 runs. PoM: Chandan Patra.
