Leading Odisha paddlers reigned supreme as Sweta Verma, Jigyanshu Sahoo clinched a double crown each in the BTTA Odisha State Ranking Table Tennis Championship, which was held at the Biju Patnaik Government Indoor Hall in Laxmisagar, Bhubaneswar from 4 to 6 July 2025.

Organised by Bhubaneswar Table Tennis Association (BTTA), under the aegis of Odisha State Table Tennis Association (OSTTA), the three-day championship featured competition in 12 singles events. Other six titles were bagged by Gayatri Patnaik, Rudra Ranbir, Abhishek Das, Urja Verma, Jigyansu Sai Kiran Pradhan and Mainak Das.

State Sports Department Director Deepankar Mohapatra attended the closing ceremony as chief guest and gave away the prizes. BTTA president Syed Maqbool Ali, senior sports journalist Suresh Swain, eminent basketball promoter Prasanta Nayak and chief referee Sujit Ray were present on the occasion.

RESULTS (Finals):

U-11 Girls Singles: After round robin league Gayatri Patnaik (Puri) and Siddhiksha Bhagat (Cuttack) became champion and runner-up respectively.

U-11 Boys Singles: After round robin league Rudra Ranbir (Cuttack) and Aryan Mohanty (Puri) emerged champion and runner-up respectively.

U-13 Girls Singles: Sweta Verma (Khordha) beat Aaradhya Sahoo (Cuttack) 3-1 (10-12, 11-9, 11-8, 13-11).

U-13 Boys Singles: Abhishek Das (Bhubaneswar) beat Reetam Bhuyan (Rourkela Steel Plant) 3-0 (11-8, 11-9, 11-7).

U-15 Girls Singles: Sweta Verma (KDTTA) beat Aradhaya Sahoo (Cuttack) 3-1 (11-5, 11-5, 11-13, 11-9).

U-15 Boys Singles: Jigyanshu Sai Kiran Pradhan (Puri) beat Somnath Subudhi (BTTA) 3-0 (11-7, 11-5, 11-3).

U-17 Girls Singles: Urja Verma (KDTTA) beat Aradhaya Sahoo (Cuttack) 3-0 (11-7, 13-11, 11-9).

U-17 Boys Singles: Jigyanshu Sahoo (Cuttack) beat Aninda Anupam Das (KDTTA) 3-2 (6-11, 11-6, 11-4, 8-11, 11-6).

U -19 Girls Singles: Sweta Padma Dalai (BTTA) beat Sakshi Bhagat (Cuttack) 3-0 (11-4, 11-3, 11-6).

U-19 Boys Singles: Jigyanshu Sahoo (Cuttack) beat Aninda Anupam Das (KDTTA) 3-0 (11-8, 11-7, 11-9).

Women Singles: Sweta Padma Dalai (BTTA) beat Neha Kumari (AG Odisha) 4-3 (3-11, 11-8, 11-13, 7-11, 11-8, 11-4, 11-9).

Men Singles: Mainak Das (AG Odisha) beat Tushar Chouhan (AG Odisha) 4-1 (11-6, 8-11, 11-7, 11-8, 11-3).
