Bhubaneswar emerged team champions, bagging 37 gold medals in the Odisha State Ju-Jitsu Championship, which was organised by Odisha Ju-Jitsu Association at Utkal Karate School in Bhubaneswar on 22 June 2025. Cuttack and Puri teams secured second and third positions with 19 and six gold medals respectively.

According to an e-mail received from Utkal Karate School, a total of 120 players from 12 districts vied for medals in cadet, junior and senior fighting system and no-waja events of the one-day championship. Dhiroj Kumar Pattanaik, OSD, Department of Sports & Youth Services, Government of Odisha attended the closing ceremony as chief guest and handed over prizes.
