Odisha para athletics international Athlete Suchitra Parida bagged one silver and one bronze medal in the World Para Athletics Grand Prix which was held at Charlety Stadium in Paris, France from 2 to 4 June 2025. She secured the silver in women javelin throw F54/F55 category with a personal best of 17.98 meters.

The 31-year-old Odisha women added the bronze in shot put F54/F55 category with an effort of 5.43 metres. As many as 28 para athletes represented India in the Paris World Para Athletics Grand Prix, which was the third and last of the year.

India hosted the second Para Athletics Grand Prix earlier from March 11 to 13 in New Delhi, where Suchitra New won the gold medal in javelin throw. India is also getting ready to host the World Para Athletics Championships for the first time at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi from 26 September to 5 October 2025.
