Mohit Kumar Paswan lit up the dull shooting scenario of Odisha by winning one bronze medal in the 23rd Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range in New Delhi yesterday. He achieved the feat in deaf category of the 10m air rifle event.

KSSM Shooting Championship was organised and conducted by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) from 22 April to 3 May 2025. Shooters who achieved qualifying marks in the 66th and 67th editions of the National Shooting Championship, and the 22nd edition of the KSSM Shooting Championship were eligible to participate.

Bhubaneswar shooter Mohit, who trains under the guidance of coach Ashish Nayak, has bagged more than six medals in National and All India Open Shooting Championships so far. In 2023, he secured one bronze medal at the 66th National Shooting Championship and one gold at the KSSM Shooting Championship.
