  OCA Inter-Dist Women Cricket: Laxmipriya scalps 5 in KIIT win

Laxmipriya Naik bagged five wickets for five runs to catapult KIIT to a nine-wicket win over Boudh in their Group-E league match of the OCA Inter District Womens Cricket Tournament (T-20 Format) at Ravenshaw Ground-2 in Cuttack today.

Bhadrak defeated Jagatsinghpur by 33 runs and Malkangiri got the better of Dhenkanal by seven wickets in two other matches of the day. KIIT and Bhadrak emerged as the top two teams of Group-E and qualified for the super league.

Earlier, Jajpur and Keonjhar from Group-D, Balangir and Balasore from Group-C, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur from Group-B and Cuttack and Bargarh from Group-A booked berth in the super league.
 

Super League competition, featuring a total of 10 teams will take place at four grounds in Cuttack from May 3 to 7. The 10 teams will play T20 matches in two groups and the two group toppers will meet each other in the final on May 9.

RESULTS (30 April 2025):

Match 74 (Ravenshaw Ground-1): Boudh 39/8 in 20 overs (Laxmipriya Naik 5/5) lost to KIIT 40/1 in 5.3 overs (Ranu Tudu 27*) by 9 wickets. PoM: Laxmipriya Naik.

Match 75 (Ravenshaw Ground-2): Bhadrak 93/10 in 18.5 overs (Sunita Das 24, Ananya P Rout 24; Namrata Raghuvanshi 4/12, Saistuti Bardhan 3/10) beat Jagatsinghpur 60/10 in 15 overs (Namrata Raghuvanshi 25; Namrata Swain 3/15, Puja R Das 3/18) by 33 runs. PoM: Puja R Das.

Match 76 (DRIEMS Ground): Dhenkanal 75/7 in 19 overs (Saitrisha Pradhan 21; Purnima Majhi 2/10, Binati Padiami 2/18) lost to Malkangiri 76/3 in 18.5 overs (Anuska Mishra 37*, Bhagyashree Nallarapu 23) by 7 wickets. PoM: Anuska Mishra.
