Puja R Das slammed a majestic 141 to power Bhadrak to a 246-run win over Kalahandi in their Group-E league match of the OCA Inter District Womens Cricket Tournament (T-20 Format) at Ravenshaw Ground-2 in Cuttack today. Her 79-ball knock was studded with 23 boundaries and one six.
This was the highest individual score in the ongoing tournament, bettering the previous highest of 136 not out by Balasore batter Anjali Singh against Angul. Puja also put up a record partnership of 236 runs for the opening wicket with Bhagyashree Rout, who scored a 51-ball 70.
KIIT, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Rourkela and Keonjhar posted wins in five other matches of the day. Among other outstanding performers of the day, Ipsita Parida and Namrata Raghuvanshi (both Jagatsinghpur) hit a half-century each, while Rani K Prasad (Keonjhar), Sonali Hembram (KIIT), Kallansi Dhritya and Gayatri Khuntia (both Jajpur) picked up three wickets apiece.
