Riding on a double crown each by junior international Aahan and Sutavya Karmakar, host Odisha made a clean sweep of all six titles in the AITA-OTA Championship Series U-14 & U-16 Tennis Tournament, which was held at Kalinga Stadium Tennis Complex in Bhubaneswar from 21 to 25 April 2025.

Aahan emerged champion in U-16 girls singles and doubles, while Sutavya bagged his two titles in U-16 boys singles and doubles. Suyash Patnaik and Shazfa Sk were crowned champions in U-14 boys and girls singles respectively. Title winner and losing finalists will get 25 and 20 AITA ranking points respectively.

A total of 95 players from 10 States participated in the five-day tournament, which was organised by Odisha Tennis Association (OTA) with the support of Department of Sports and Youth Services, Government of Odisha, and under the aegis of All India Tennis Association (AITA).

OTA secretary Satyajit Mohanty inaugurated the tournament and handed over the trophies at the closing ceremony. OTA joint-secretary Sanjib Panda, administrative officer Sambit Pattnaik and tournament referee Jatin Batsya were present on both the occasions.

RESULTS (All finals):

Boys U14 Singles: Suyash Patnaik (Odisha) beat Kempegowda Manjunath (Karnataka) 6-7(6), 6-0, 6-3.
Boys U16 Singles: Sutavya Karmakar (Odisha) defeated Suyash Patnaik (Odisha) 6-1, 6-2.
Boys U16 Doubles: Sutavya Karmakar & Swayam Sahu (Odisha) beat Anshuman Acharya & Suyash Patnaik (Odisha) 6-1, 6-0.
Girls U14 Singles: Shazfa Sk (Odisha) beat Sanrachana Das (Odisha) 6-4, 6-2.
Girls U16 Singles: Aahan (Odisha) beat Shazfa Sk (Odisha) 6-2, 6-3.
Girls U16 Doubles: Aahan & Sanvi Mohanty (Odisha) beat Shazfa Sk & Sanrachana Das (Odisha) 6-2, 6-0.
